Safeguarding Statement

Last updated: 3 Mar 2026

CanDoLearn is committed to helping keep children safe online and to supporting schools, families, and tutors with responsible safeguarding practice.

Our safeguarding commitment

  • Safeguarding is considered in product design, operations, and support workflows.
  • We use age-appropriate language and learning contexts, with the public site primarily focused on older learners aged 11-17.
  • We minimise personal data and apply privacy-by-default settings.
  • We provide clear reporting routes for safeguarding and safety concerns.

School and family roles

  • Schools and academy trusts remain responsible for their safeguarding duties.
  • Parents and carers remain responsible for safeguarding in home-use settings.
  • CanDoLearn supports those duties with secure access controls, auditability, and transparent data handling.

Platform safeguards

  • Role-based access boundaries for school, teacher, and parent contexts.
  • Secure authentication and least-privilege access principles.
  • Audit records for key report and data access actions.
  • No selling of personal data and no advertising use of children's data.
  • Data retention controls aligned with our Privacy Policy and Trust Centre.
