Accessibility Statement

CanDoLearn is committed to making our website and learning platform accessible to as many people as possible, including disabled learners, families, and education professionals.

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to the CanDoLearn marketing website at www.candolearn.co.uk and linked public pages.

We are also improving accessibility across the CanDoLearn application experience. Where third-party tools are used, we review them as part of procurement and ongoing quality assurance.

Accessibility standard

We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA and we use WCAG 2.1 AA as a minimum baseline where relevant.

Accessibility is considered during design, development, and release checks, including colour contrast, keyboard access, focus visibility, semantic structure, and responsive readability.

What we are doing well

  • Consistent heading hierarchy and semantic page structure.
  • Keyboard-focus styles and touch targets designed for usability.
  • Readable default typography and spacing for clarity.
  • Support for reduced motion preferences.
  • Alt text included for meaningful images where applicable.

Assistive technology support

  • Recent versions of major screen readers
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom up to 200%
  • Mobile accessibility settings, including text scaling and reduced motion

Known limitations and planned improvements

  • Some older placeholder images may not yet have full descriptive context.
  • Some third-party embedded tools may have controls outside our direct codebase.
  • Some legacy document downloads may not yet be fully optimised for assistive technology.

We prioritise fixes based on impact to learners, schools, and families.
